Election Day Rumblings

It’s election day! A couple items to note for all of you heading to the polls: please be informed and give yourself plenty of time to weigh both sides of the measures/initiatives. An informed voter is an effective one.

When placing my votes, I approach it utilizing a top-down political philosophy. After reading the synopsis of an initiative/measure, I ask myself, “Is it Constitutional? Does is do more to harm the balance of powers? Does it create more or less freedom?”

If a majority of us vote to uphold our inalienable rights, we each do our small part to preserve the Republic. This is one of the best ways to put country before self.

Next time you’re at the polls, try my top-down approach. By taking small steps to ensure the preservation of our freedoms, we’ll honor those before us that sacrificed life, liberty, and treasure.
