A Simple Embrace

StatueOfLiberty“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free;

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

–Emma Lazarus, circa 1883

YOUR CHAPTER IN AMERICA’S NOVEL

The inscription on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty is a timeless reminder that America should always reach her hands out and embrace those seeking refuge from oppression, unwarranted persecution, or a desire to participate in liberty. In turn, these future Americans must embrace, participate, and do their best to thrive within a culture that is no stranger to sacrifice.

The years following America’s inception witnessed a burgeoning, multifaceted society that struggled to define a unified cultural identity. Bigger than life sacrifices via domestic wars, coordinated protests against varying civilian injustices, excruciatingly drawn out judicial proceedings, and congressional political warfare were necessities for distilling America’s unified cultural identity.

AMERICA’S DOUBLE HELIX

It can be an overwhelming task to accurately list all the ingredients that makeup the American ideal. But this should not be a cause of concern because a majority of American civilians grasp the subtext of what allows life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to flourish. Why? In essence, these ideals are intrinsic to all Homo sapiens. America is simply what man strives to be while allowing the dreams of future generations to be fulfilled.

It’s simply magnificent but, sadly, under horrendous assault.

ACCEPTING ALL BUT NOT ALL ACCEPT HER

Right in front of our eyes, and to my horror, we have an exponentially growing population of immigrants who choose to defy assimilation into this wondrous culture. In opposition, they choose to fraction our nation, piece-by-piece one locale at a time, by implementing their foreign dialect and rejecting the English language, fighting against basic American holiday traditions, forcing our public institutions to comply with their foreign cultural identity, and, most damaging, fighting within our legal system to alter laws for the sole purpose of placating to their native ideals. Recently, many immigrants have formed large not-for-profit conglomerates to concentrate their legal efforts and hijack America’s unified identity at the bequest of her benevolence.

The American identity is severely fractured. If this betrayal by immigrants is allowed to continue, the result will be a compartmentalized, Balkanized nation of chaos.

A LINE IN THE SAND

Structured, lawful immigration should always be embraced. It strengthens a nation. America is a land of immigrants. It’s a reflection of the world’s stage. But sacrificing her unified cultural identity in order to placate political correct behavior is an atrocity and must not be tolerated.

>> America is fundamentally being altered from the inside out <<

In order to preserve and honor America’s identity, everyday Americans need to step up and resist!

When you find yourself in a situation that is a direct assault on America’s cultural identity, exercise your first amendment rights! Speak up! Do not cower to political correctness, fear of standing out in the crowd, or worry about how others will perceive you. Exercise your freedoms and feel good doing it! It is not only your right but should regarded as your duty.

Enormous sacrifice has laid the way for your very existence in this we call America. Is it too much to ask to defend that which was paid for in blood and treasure?
